What the site had to do
InterPets NYC is a cat breeders business, and the site is the first thing most of its customers meet. The brief for a build like this is not decoration: somebody has to land on it, understand within a few seconds whether they are in the right place, and find the one action that matters to them.
So the structure is decided before any of it is drawn - what leads, what follows, and what a visitor is meant to do on the page they land on rather than the page we would prefer they read.
How it was built
- Laid out for a phone first, because that is where the majority of this traffic arrives and a desktop-first layout degrades badly in the other direction.
- Page structure and headings written so search engines can tell what each page is for without guessing.
- Images sized and compressed for the page they sit on, so the site opens quickly on a mobile connection.
- Built around what this one needed in particular: cat breeders.
What was handed over
The same handover as every build here: the live site, the files behind it, and ownership of the work. No licence to keep paying for, and nothing held back that would make moving the site elsewhere difficult later.
