You get the full file set and the written copyright assignment, and the project is yours. There is no ongoing licence, no renewal and nothing further to pay.
We keep the master files, so a format you lose later can be resent. Most clients come back at some point for the next thing rather than the same thing, and the brief history stays with us either way.
